Portable Scooters
These are designed with the intention of being transportable and easy to store in the boot of a car. They are light, without suspension with a lower ground clearance. Maximum user weights range from 18 - 23 stones.
4 MPH
Mobility scooters (4mph) are normally only intended for footway/pavement use. These are not required to be registered with the DVLA and are ideal for using from home around town, shopping etc. Typical ranges are up to 20 miles.
Class 3 (6-8mph)
Class 3 Mobility Scooters (6-8mph) are intended for both road and pavement use, they must not exceed 4mph when ridden on pavements. These must be registered with the DVLA and will usually have larger batteries and user weights of up to 35 stones.
